Shoal Bay nightlife - dance, drink, have fun!
Nightlife is pretty quiet, with the occasional live band at one of the bars in Sandy Ground or Shoal Bay East. For a small island, Anguilla has a number of nightlife options and musical entertainment to offer its visitors. Generally, Sandy Ground is the "Hotspot" on Fridays and Saturdays, while Sundays and Wednesdays the crowds move to Shoal Bay East. There is music and entertainment almost every night of the week somewhere on the island. Uncle Ernie’s, Shoal Bay East has a glorious beach setting. It is famed for its grilled ribs and for being the Sunday afternoon hotspot for live music. The beach bars are one of Anguilla’s best features and it makes a great day out to spend the day there. They are easy-going and generally quite simple, offering mostly barbecued and West Indian food, so (apart from Trattoria Tramonte) you are pretty much restricted to the hotels if you want a lingering sophisticated lunch. Most of the beach bars have lavatories but they do not tend to have showers. They may have some limited watersports equipment.
